Three years ago, I first told my story in Marie Claire. Today, I am proud to announce that I am joining the magazine’s editorial team as a Contributing Editor. In my role, I will write for the print and online versions of the magazine, act as a brand ambassador and contribute insight and ideas about culture and beauty, politics and pop culture.

Marvel is excited to announce an all-new era for the God of Thunder in brand new series, THOR, written by Jason Aaron (Thor: God of Thunder, Original Sin) complimented with art from Russell Dauterman (Cyclops).
This October, Marvel Comics evolves once again in one of the most shocking and exciting changes ever to shake one of Marvel’s “big three” – Captain American, Iron Man and Thor – Marvel Comics will be introducing an all-new THOR, GOD OF THUNDER. No longer is the classic male hero able to hold the mighty hammer, Mjölnir, a brand new female hero will emerge will who will be worthy of the name THOR. Who is she? Where did she come from and what is her connection to Asgard and the Marvel Universe?
“The inscription on Thor’s hammer reads ‘Whosoever holds this hammer, if HE be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.’ Well it’s time to update that inscription,” says Marvel editor Wil Moss. “The new Thor continues Marvel’s proud tradition of strong female characters like Captain Marvel, Storm, Black Widow and more. And this new Thor isn’t a temporary female substitute - she’s now the one and only Thor, and she is worthy!”
Q:have you read ororo: before the storm? did you like it?
Yes I have!
I thought it was a really cute storyline. Wasn’t something as groundbreaking and developed as say, a Wolverine Origins storyline (and we all know the reason for that I think) but it was cute.
The artwork was kinda wonky at points, but that’s all subjective. Mark Brooks’ cover for the first issue was really good though.
Q:Poc denying mudblood was a racial slur is a prime example of america centric racial theory. Like Hitler wasn't exclusively racist to people of a certain bloodline, regardless of their appearance
Q:i'm so sure you've been asked this before but what are your top 5 Storm comics?
Oh my goodness, sorry for the late response. But anyway…
If you’re referring to Storm storylines, I have a softer spot for some of the more modern stories, as those are comics that I bought myself, and not just read online or as hand-me-downs.
But I do like her appearance in X-Men Hidden Years for some reason.
I know this sounds incredibly vague, but I also like any of her classic pre-Mohawk stories (switching bodies with Emma, infested with a Brood egg, taking leadership of the Morlocks).
Lifedeath was pretty good too.
So what, that’s three? If you count the ‘classics’ as one, I suppose. Sorry I’m totally cheating.
um… I like the majority of her run in X-Treme X-men. Schism and The Arena were pretty good.
OH and Worlds Apart.
I’m gonna direct this question to dae-break ‘cause he always has some good recs and detailed input on all things Ororo. Cheers!
anyone else noticing a trend here?
didn’t know ancient egyptians looked like mayo…
RHAMSES IM CHOKING LIKE THEY DIDNT SEE THE STATUES OR NOTHING
Ok but of course the servants and thieves are black ok i see yall
Brown Jesus from Palestine, what the fuck is this!
Tuya and Zipporah are Sub Saharan unarguable black. Like you Zipporah’s familial descendants are still living a pastoral life in the same place she was from, and they still look like her.
Queen Tuya is black, in fact her tomb was found after the front load of white supremacist archeologist raided Egypt, so surprisingly enough her features were kept in tact on all of her antiquities as was her full name which also described where she was from…modern day Ethopian/Chad/Sudan area.
No matter how much fake tanner, pretty pretty hair pieces, faux box braids Sigourney will look ridiculous.
So it’s real nice to know that every reoccurring woman of visible East African descent is non existent and every male of visible African decent is a poor criminal. Awesome, and super accurate.
